Fed up with phony complaints
- Interesting that the chief question is about who wrote the letter, when it ought to be about whether the letter is accurate in any detail. Some commenters already caught the errors on the Constitution and Declaration of Independence (neither of which makes a pro-Christian statement). What about the rest? Most of the executive bonus stuff was done by Bush; Obama's been able to slow or halt very little of it, but most of it was done when he took office. Why not address the complaint to Bush, then?

Fed Up for Sure
- The country has been let down by both parties. We need to get back to the principles of individual responsibility and freedom on which this country was founded. The thought of more big government sucking away the tax money of the average citizens is truly frightening. MORE FREEDOM LESS GOVERNMENT

How in the world did this happen?
- God help us, we are a nation in need of a leader - NOT someone who will cow-tow to leaders of countries that would as soon see us under their thumbs. I have no clue what my fellow Americans were thinking when they voted for "change".

Fed up with Pres. Obama, Pelosi Reid
- The country will speak loudly during the 2010 elections. I can see a more Conservative Government coming to power!

Read HR 3200, your congress Critters hav
- You people that support Barak Hussein Obama scare me. Barry can't even produce a viable birth certificate. If you people were to read HR3200 and have two brain cells to rub together, you would probably crap your pants. Are you people so miserable that you can't manage your own life and want the guvmint' to do it for you?? You want guvmint' run health care. Just take a close look at the V.A., Medicare and Medicaid. And talk to the Drs. that are in short supply at present and get their opinion. You want a real Dr. shortage and rationed health care?? Then vote for the Kennedy/Obama plan. I traveled through a quaint little town in Missouri this weekend; I believe it was West Plains. They had a real neat billboard as you entered the town. It was a picture of the "messiah" with a towel around his head. Underneath it stated: More abortions More taxes More government Less FREEDOM BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA

*Eye roll*
- I read no further than the 4th paragraph. The person writing was obviously biased and uneducated. It appears as though they did not read/hear the speech, because it is incorrectly quoted. As to the 4th paragraph, I've read both the Consitution and the Declaration of Independence, and neither establishes this nation as a Judeo-Christian society. In fact, it was established in the first amendment that just the opposite is true, we are free to practice any religion. I'm so tired of the rhetoric and the mindless diatribes.

Racism and Respect
- A racist for having differing opinions about politics? C'mon, folks, at least try to respond to the argument with facts and reason. How many people now are afraid to verbalize their real opinions because they might be called a RACIST? And respect? This person wasn't throwing rotten vegetables at him in public, just a heartfelt opinion backed up with actual facts in a letter. Sure, the words brain dead and idiot are there, but respect for our way of government also means that we should be able to clearly state our opinion in a non-threatening manner.

name calling is so mean. especially now
- I mean, no one was saying 'how dare you say such terrible things about the president!' when Bush was in office. It almost seemed like, for most people, the thing to do. Very few stood up for him. Celebrities made harsh, harsh remarks. Some even moved to other countries. But when the shoe is on the other foot...

Sick of RACIST comments
- Why are people called racist just because they disagree with the current adminisstration and the way things are being handled? Because they can't think of anything intelligent to say so they fall back on - Oh, I know! We will say they are racist and then maybe people won't listen to them! The ones who are racist are the ones who stoop to such tactic. I am in no way a racist but I am intelligent enough to see that America is being cheapened and led down a slippery slope by this man - barack Obama. What I try to figure out is whether he is doing all the sabotage to our country out of ignorance or whether he is doing it deliberately. Either way Americans are suffering under his regime and will continue to do so until we get enough guts to stand up and say ENOUGH!

two sides
- I too agree with most of the content in the letter, though I marvel that anyone would have the audacity to write it directly to the President. But to those who disagree, especially those who say that respect for the office of the presidency should defer such comments, I can only ask: Where were you when shoes were thrown at President Bush? Did you complain of that disrespect? Or did you stand in line to throw your shoes at his picture on Obama's inauguration day? The Office of the President bears respect, and the person in office bears respect because of his position.....even when he wrongly insults Americans.

Mr. Obama inherited all this mess
- I know I am wasting my breath here to all those who "hate" Obama...but, from what I see and hear, those that shout out such hatred, leave to me one conclusion....RACIST....you feel a little ashamed at using the "N" word so instead you do the next best thing in your creepy little world and call him Nazi, Un American or some of the other choice words that work for you. There are many ways to voice opposition views without demeaning yourselves to the lowest level of the gene pool. I am White, a Grandma, Independent in political affiliation, and I live in Middle America. The right wing propaganda machine is running full speed, just be careful when you repeat verbatim from unknown sources, you could be agreeing with some simple minded fool sitting in his/her filthy trailer sopping up the beer while cleaning the semi-automatic rifle calculating how to take out whomever they don't like at the moment. Get your heads out of your a$$ and educate yourselves for heavens sake.

yawn
- Spoken like a true Republican apologist. Completely misses the real problems with the US government that go beyond (but include) Obama, and Bush for that matter.

Before Posting, Forwarding or Commenting
- To those of you who are ok with the fact that one of our fellow citzens could be so distastefully blunt in their opinions of the President of the United States of America, SHAME ON YOU! How dare you support such a disrespectful act, especially while thinking that it was the work of a fourth grade teacher. What's wrong with you. Weather you like Obama or not why in the world would you want the children of our nation to be tought by someone so hateful. This nation needs someone like Obama in charge. There are hostiles in Europe that have rules posted as you enter and one of them clearly states "Americans: Be Quiet" I wonder why. We obviously all need a lesson in courtesy. It is imperitive that while we stand to show that we are not to be bullied, we also show respect to the rest of the world. Something that Bush wouldn't have heard of. To those of you who thought Palin was so great, If she couldn't make it as the Governer of Alaska thank God we didn't put her in office as Vice President!

Patience, Civility, and Reason
- First, no matter who wrote the letter, it is inexcusable to address anyone, let alone the President of the United States, in that offensive and demeaning way. If, indeed, a large percent of Americans condone such disrespectful "communication," there is little hope for us. Second, whether we like to admit it or not, the reputation of the US, even among our traditional allies, is in the toilet, thanks to the arrogance of our former administration, & it now falls to President Obama to try SOMETHING to get other countries to give us a change to prove that we are not the intolerant pricks we seem to be. Third, Mr. Obama is trying to do exactly what he told America he would do if we elected him--and we did, in a landslide. No one in Washington wants to fail. They don't want to drive our country off a cliff. Let us give them a chance to do what we asked them to do, support them, & gie them the benefit of the doubt for now. And please, practice some civility. Best wishes.

Yes! I'm Fed-Up With Obama!
- I stand in total agreement with this letter, no-matter who wrote it. And if the things outlined there aren't pitiful enough, now we have ObamaCare to deal with. After reading that thing, I stand in total agreement with Sarah Palin....ObamaCare is nothing short of just plain "evil"!!!
