Mr. Pritchett, you scare me!
- But not nearly as much as do your accolytes. I have never seen the kind of subtle racism and bigotry since the days when people like you were claiming that you needed segregated toilets because you were afraid of getting VD from seats used by African Americans! The crowds of protesters at the recent town meetings resembles nothing so much as the Brown Shirts breaking up liberal rallies in Nazi Germany. But that was ok, because they were liberals, right? You are the sickest group of paranoid sociopaths ever spawned by this money worshipping society. There are only two reasons why you all came out from under your rocks: 1) you are being paid 2) you think you will be paid. You don't care about anyone's rights except your right to shut other people up with threats of violence, and then you say it's ok because Jesus told you to do it. If there's an afterlife, you're all gonna be fire hydrants.

Obama
- Your letter to Obama is right on. I cannot believe they would not publish this one. I agree, in seven months this wonderful country of ours is about to end if we don't stand ground. Obama is making all the wrong decisions, what is he up to??? I do not trust him, and who is in his blackberry that he so hides and answers to??? I pray for many answers, and wish us the people of the United States answers, not lies...I do not feel safe with Obama and all his people that he surrounds his self with. I believe Polosi is not what we need for a successful government. You letter I hope reaches many more. I thank you so much for this letter. God Bless You Always.

Mr
- You bet I am scared. I don't want to go thru what I fortunately missed in Nazi Germany.

So Good
- It was so good to read Lou's letter that concisely summarizes the many doubts and questions any thinking person should have about Obama. This is a very dangerous man, in my opinion, hell bent on drastically transforming the country, without one iota of humility, from the one we grew up in, and from the one the founding fathers established. He would have Government intrude into every aspect of our lives to create his vision of Utopia and Government as a God substitute, that under his unfailing wisdom and guidance will command and control and "take care" of us all. May God (the real one) help us!!

Not afraid of Obama
- AMEN to your letter to Obama. I do not like what he is doing to our country, but how can we stop him? I am an ordinary 75- ear-old woman; tell please what I can do. I have been saying what you are saying in your letter, but I have no clout. Tell us what we can do. I do not want to live in a socialized USA. My husband, James M. O'Brien LTC USAF Ret, agrees with me. Most of my friends agree with me. Thank you for your magnifient letter. Joyce L. O'Brien

Liberals really don't understand
- Fred B suggests that we need more regulations and Peter asks what's wrong with Europe? Plenty! They have led us in unemployment due to heavy regulations. Youths in France have recently protested the heavy hand of government which makes it difficult to fire or layoff workers. The unintended consequence is that companies will not hire in those countries with those regulations. Additionally, Europe's government spending is unsustainable, thus the recent acknowledgement of this and the attempts to correct it. And finally, from a practical perspective (and a religious one), countries that become more secular begin to decay from a moral and quality of life perspective. See The Netherlands for proof. No, I want the US to be the US; a world leader! NOT A FOLLOWER!

Wake up
- It is sad…but yes, he (Lou) speaks the truth. And, as my granny used to say, “the truth is the truth, to say anything other, still does not change the truth.” One cannot just keep piling up more people “not working” and expect the people who “are working” to keep paying for all our needs. California can bear witness to this fact. I know a bunch of liberals who acknowledge that myself and others are paying ½ of what I/we make in income tax to the government now. Yet, they will tell you…”you should be paying 90% of what we make to the government. After all, you make a lot more than we do.” Of course anyone with an IQ above 80 knows that if you take most all of what I make…..I simply loose all incentive to go out and make it. So to those who would say….”so what, who cares, we still want to take 90% of what you earn.” Well, my foolish friend, you should and will care. You see, it is myself and others like me that are now paying most all of the taxes paid. Forty percent of the peo

So true, Lou
- I agree whole-heartedly with Lou. Where the hell did this guy running (and ruining) our country come from? He was a virtual unknown 4 years ago. He has no qualifications for running a major business, much less the most important country in the world. Obama is a narcicist, extremist, radical, liberal bastard who will drive our country into the ground. Hell yes, I am very scared. Once the idiot liberals, minorities, academia, and non-producing leaches of our society realize they have made a grave mistake it may be too late. Obama is the "Big Brother" that George Orwell predicted in the book "1984". God Bless us all (if he only will).

Scary
- Just a note on Mr Pritchett’s “You scare me” article. Mr Pritchett is scared because he doesn’t “know anything about” Obama. If he went to “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama” he would find out what I did in a few minutes. It has his background information, what he’s done so far as President, his political views. Obama paid for his education and his “lavish lifestyle” by working and making $1.6 million on a book deal. After his 4 year non Ivy league education, he worked for three years before going to Harvard, where he worked as a summer associate at a law firm. For twelve years, Obama worked as a law professor at the University of Chicago. I imagine he got paid for working, like most of us do. Obama was born in Hawaii, part of the USA. He spent four years, from age 6-10, in Indonesia. He then returned to Hawaii and has spent the rest of his life in America. Reflecting later on his formative years in Honolulu, Obama wrote: "The opportunity that Hawaii offered—to expe

Scary
- What scares me more than Mr. Pritchett's letter, the content of his letter, and B. Obama is how fast people in this country react emotionally to anything political and form opinions based on the "ticker tape" they see below the evening news or which radio broadcaster they happen to be listening to on any given day. Come on.. dig a little deeper.

thanks Lou
- He speaks for most freedom loving Americans. However I know there are a bunch of unemployed leaches hoping the Gov't will take care of them who love Obama and his policies.

From the former United States
- I believe with all my heart that our Constitution is under siege by the Obama administration. If we continue to allow our freedoms to erode, we deserve exactly what this country will become. It is very sad indeed. Our founding fathers crafted an incredible country. And with our indifference, we are watching it transform into another socialist state. The tragically uninformed voters gave the reins to people determined to destroy the United States as we know it.

Mr. Pritchett you scare me!
- Yes I'm one of those damned liberals! I'm not fronting for a large company like Proctor and Gamble nor do I have a special interest in mind other than justice for my fellow American citizens. You scare me because I believe that your intent is the disempowerment of the rabble (that’s you and me folks!) so we can be exploited by the likes of your employers. I see an American public that’s been lied to and robbed by corporatists who are only thinking of their multimillion dollar salaries and bonuses. Under paying and overcharging until their mismanagement caused our economy to collapse. They did that to us in the 1890’s, the 1930’s and now in the late 2000’s. When are we going to learn that these kinds of people are NOT trustworthy and their capitalist myths are NOT true? You talk about our government as if it’s something being imposed on us from outer space. Notice that I said OUR government, it’s our own creation. We ratified it by popular vote in 1787. Subsequence laws are enacted by

Isn't God in Charge?
- If God places those in office and God is in charge, why are we not relying on God rather than getting all hysterical? Don't any of you trust God?

Culture
- Mr. Lou, you should know better that some americans do travel around the world and are americans from day one. Obama has a rich cultural background that does not take his right to be President of the USA. I am an american and I have traveled around the world that does not make me a bad candidate to be President. Give an opportunity to Obama as you gave Bush a chance, hopefully Obama will do better than Bush.
