Less scared under BHO

I'm scared of a lot of things, but BHO isn't one of them. He's doing his best to bail us out of some of the serious problems that previous administrations and an ignorant public have gotten us into. My fear is that he won't be able to get enough support from our entrenched political system and our complacent society to make real environmental and energy changes before we face consequences that could dwarf the ones we currently face. For now, BHO is doing a reasonably good job of restoring our country's badly damaged international reputation. Whether he can restore our economy from the consequences of decades of greed and environmental pillaging is yet to be seen, but at least he's giving it his best effort.

on the mark

So far, the 'new jobs' Obama claims to have provided are running at 1.3 million dollars per job. He is arrogant, dangerous and probably as anti-American as any elected official can be, this side of Europe and the middle east.

Thank Heavens for Obama!

I am feeling much better after reading so many thoughtful and honest comments regarding the letter from the frightened Pritchett. We lost the respect of the world over the last 8 years with a president who attacked a country lying about non existent provacation and a president who could not articulate a complete sentence. He not only killed many Americans by starting the war but he killed and maimed even more of the inhabitants of the country he said he was liberating. I am so happy that we have Obama. If people would remember that Bush had not seen any action either and he with no knowledge of what he was doing declared a war. Well, many of you said all this better than I can say. I love my country. My great grandfather was an immigrant who fought in the Civil War and my father volunteered for the trench warfare of the First War. My uncle and my brother in law were there in the second war. I am glad that I can be a flag waving patriot again.

Grump

I believe in every word written by Lou Pritchett, especially the last one. I think that BHO is now and always has been a muslim and would like nothing better than to bring this country down, maybe with bankruptcy.

Obama

Terrified of the road he is taking America down & disappointed at the complacency & idiocy of the Americans who support him because he is such a charismatic purveyor of deception.

Who's on First ?

Who's leading in this little O debate? Read the letter again. Can any of you who are defending BO answer any of the questions the writer brings up in this letter? I THINK NOT. That's why it's so scary. C'mon, wake up!

Intelligent, thoughtful, CURIOUS

I'm absolutely NOT afraid of Barack Obama. For the first time in at least 8 years I feel safe in this country, and am proud that America is once again beginning to stand for the amazing words of our Constitution. I don't believe Barack is perfect, but I do know he listens to conflicting ideas, discusses all sides of a question and is intelligent, thoughtful and curious. I would also reiterate previously stated comments re: how he paid for his schooling, his childhood, etc. He was born and raised in Hawaii (right after it became a state), until the age of 6. He then lived in Indonesia for 4 years, returning to spend his high school years in Hawaii. His grandfathers' boss helped him get into a private high school in Hawaii. His remaining college/Ivy League costs were paid with student loans/scholarships. These were paid off, recently, from the proceeds of his two books. Read them. They are enlightening, painfully honest, challenging. Be Not Afraid. All of Lou Pritchetts tirade is bunk.

cut the misinformation

for those that truly believe that our current president actually tripled the debt, please read before you talk (or write). There are very good articles out there that show how we got into this mess, and the prior president is responsible for almost all of the current annual debt of this country. Thsi link shows how Mr. Bush added 4 trilliion to the national debt- http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/09/29/couricandco/entry4486228.shtml And this one shows the actual amount of deficit attributable to each president- http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31199889 Scary how Mr Bush is going to be adding debt for years to come, just like President Obama.

FEAR OUR FUTURE!!!!!!!!!

I am amazed at the % of responders who seem to support Obama. I think that they are either blind or crazy, or both. I feel sure that they will catch on to his "Down with America" plan sometime. In the meantime, let us all hope and pray that they realize what a corrupt person he is BEFORE !!! the next election! Thanks, Mr. Pritchett for speaking out on our behalf!!

Open Letter to Lou Pritchett

AN OPEN LETTER TO LOU PRITCHETT You are the umpteenth conservative I’ve had to listen to over my life and just like Nixon you truly scare me. You scare me because no one knows you and yet many will believe your propaganda letter. Our President wrote two books about himself if you want to know him. You scare me because you didn’t read his books, which is what gave him royalties to pay off his and Michelle’s student loans. That upscale lifestyle you speak was their annual income of $430,000 in which 62% of it was Michelle’s (265,000). The remainder was his senate salary. This is public knowledge by the way. You scare me to think that Hawaii is not culturally American, which is where he spent his life from birth to the age of six, in which his mother made the decision to move to Indonesia until returning years later. He came back to Hawaii for high school. Please don’t refer to him as not being culturally American because his mother chooses to leave and come back while

afraid of what?

Afraid of getting jobs back, that GW and his cronies sent overseas so they could get bigger profits? Afraid of getting out of a war that has lasted longer than promised? Afraid of Obama? H*** no! He inherited a problem that was made by the Republican administration, loss of jobs, war and fear of the future. He offered hope, they offered more of the same crap they had been feeding us for 8 years. Mr. Pritchard, I AM NOT a mushroom. I don't need your s***, and I don't want it. If you are that afraid, move to another country. See how long they put up with your drivel.

Approval Ratings

Hitler had high approval ratings also. All the Bush bashers have to live in the present. Emperor O has already tripled the debt, limited free speech by eliminating anyone from the press core who provides negative coverage, has nationalized industries and abandoned any bi partisan notions from the moment he hit office. BE VERY AFRAID.

scared FOR Obama

We the people of the United States have elected a very smart, personable man to our highest office. Since we have elected him, we should give him a chance to rectify the previous administration's horrible mistakes. How can you expect a man in office only a few months to rectify mistakes of 8 years??? I am scared that this good man will decide that he doesn't need this job, and that he won't run for a second term. I wouldn't blame him, either.

Nancy

The only time I was ever truly afraid of our government was when George W. Bush was president.
