- IF there was one shred of EVIDENCE that Obama is NOT a U.S. Citizen it would have come to light a long time ago. @Guest Rabbi - your comments are way off topic and your conspiracy implication is a joke. Sad, but a joke none the less. Why is it that nut jobs keep ranting the same theme, the same tired old mantra, the same tripe: Birth Certificate, Impeach!, fix the country in 20 months? I can not believe I am spending my time on here. Polarization is the tearing this country apart. There is enough blame to go around, but no one wants to listen, sound bites, and stuff like this are what is wrong with this country. Freedom of Expression and the Press are part of the foundation of our constitution and our country. Why do you abuse it?

- Obama may well be a citizen of the United States. But the "simple reason" that he was born in Hawaii does not automatically make him one, as your article states. The 14th Amendment made citizenship-by-birthplace subject to two conditions, not just a single one: one must be (a) born in the US [as only idiots deny is true of Obama]; and (b) "subject to the jurisdiction of the United States"--presumably at the time of birth; which might depend on one's parents' status. Being no lawyer, I've no idea whether it does so depend or not; nor whether Obama meets this condition or not. But your "simple reason" is a gross over-simplification of the Constitution as it now stands.

Not a NATURAL BORN citizen
- According to the Constitution the President MUST BE a Natural Born Citizen, which, a strong case can be made according to the historical record, meant that he needed to have BOTH parents as citizens at the time of his birth. This standard was understood so that there could be no duel alligiances possible with the highest office in the land. The fact is while the Constitution doesn;t define it directly , either way, the Supreme court would need to rule on it to have a true and complete understanding of the requirements. Instead Obama got elected with a wink and a nod that it's a somehow unimportant requirement... seemingly not "worthy" of debate like the other challenges... because the popular support wasn't there to challenge him on a technicality. This should be brought to court and adjudicated one way or another and determine if he is the Legit Pres. or if he is our first Affirmative Action Chief Executive.

It's Very Simple!
- If he is a US Citizen and not willing to show his birth certificate, for whatever reason, he is using tax payer dollars to prove he doesn't have to show anyone his birth certificate. Now, how much sense is that? If he is a US citizen, he would show it and go on with his life and get things done, but since he refuses, then we all know he is hiding something and spending way too much money and time to hide it. So, logic tells us there is more going on here than just showing a simple US birth cerificate. It will come out in the wash soon.

birth certificates and other things
- Some people aren't satisfied with the COLB that Obama put out on the internet since it doesn't list a hospital or doctor on it. My state doesn't list that info either on the state-issued birth certification I had to get a few months ago. Also, birth announcements in newspapers back in the early 60's were from info received from the local health department, not the family-both newspapers in Hawaii have confirmed this. As to Obama's father being British negating the "natural born citizen" clause, 3 other US presidents had British fathers-James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson and Chester A. Arthur. I keep reading how Obama has spent millions to hide his records; this seems to have originated with World Net Daily-not a reputable news source. Why didn't the RNC, McCain's campaign or Hillary's campaign manage to come up with conclusive proof that Obama didn't meet the eligibility requirements for president? Because it DOESN'T exist.

- My friend is a state Rep from Hawaii and I was golfing with him and asked this question. He basically told me the person holding the birth cert and confirming it is real is appointed by the Gov. of Hawaii. My friend was born in HA and told me he doubts Obama was legal.. He said if this was to come out we would revolt against the govt. He is a DEM Rep.. Interesting!
