- Not only has Obamas proof of citizenship been presented there were birth notices in the Honolulu Advertiser stating that a baby and the future 43rd president was born to mr and mrs Obama at Queens Hospital. I remember reading it when I lived in Honolulu between 1960-1964

- I hate to imagine that our government would not adequately check the background of a presidential candidate, but there are a number of valid questions that need to be answered....and contrary to some comments here, they HAVE NOT been answered. Several of the questions presented in this e-mail raise real concerns. His travel, his college transcripts, his TRUE birth certificate, his Indonesian step-father. If he has good answers to those, why not just answer the questions with supporting documentation and stop this circus. But then again maybe that can't be done, and maybe the people doubting his legitimacy have a valid point. The citizens of this great country just would like to be assured with supported facts, not just unsubstantiated talk from either side.

- If he is a citizen, why won't he prove it with a birth certificate? It would shut up all the nay-sayers and put him in a much better light. It is a very simple action on his part and it makes no sense why he doesn't produce one. I can't imagine any other president in history refusing to show one if asked.

There is no proof
- There is no "proof" that will satisfy some one who refuses to accept the truth. There is ample legitimate evidence that President Obama is a natural born American citizen -- and no creditable evidence that indicates otherwise. If you believe he isn't (or might not be) an American citizen you are either: a sucker for con men and liars; a fool who can not recognize clear and obvious proof when you see it; or someone who is incapable of accepting that a person can be President of the US who doesn't fit their personal criteria (whether political or racial). We have a center-left, Black president fairly elected by a clear majority of the American electorate. Get over it!

- Congress was pathetic during the 08 elections! The held a special investigation to make sure that John McCain was a Natural born Citizen because he was born in Panama! It didn't matter that they had already done this before in to 2000 campaign! McCain's father is American and was in the American military. His Mother is an American citizen and he was born on an American military base in Panama. The Panama American military base was considered U.S.Soil, consequently , just like a US embassay, the soil it sits on, not matter where in the world it sits on, it is considered US soil! Even though Obama's back ground was far more questionable, Congress did not hold an investigation on whether he was a natural born US citizen. His father was Kenyan, His mother an American citizen, but the place of birth seemed to be in contradiction. He was born in two hospitals in Hawaii His 1/2 sister claimed to have witnessed it. His Grandmother in Kenya witnessed his birth in Mombassa. Who's the liar?

- I am really starting to lose what little faith I had left in the American people. Obviously it makes no difference how much proof is provided nor how much evidence that all of these allegations are ridiculous; there are still an alarming number of "patriots" who will not be satisfied. - As much as I would like for him to be a fake citizen and lose him, he's legit. His ideas, from Socialism to authorizing the assassination of a U.S. citizen for being a terrorist is fact. I wonder who amongst us will be the next "terrorist", and what criteria they will use to decide.
